Southern Gulf of Mexico
Southern Gulf of Mexico is a current monitoring program in support of PEMEX’s offshore operations. While Loop Current eddies typically do not impact the region, deep cyclonic eddies, a seasonal shelf flow, and wind driven currents are of concern to many operations.
Using the same technology and techniques from the Eddy Watch - Gulf of Mexico program focused in the northern Gulf, we now provide Eddy Watch reports to assist operations in the southern Gulf.
