FAST Eddy^℠ is Horizon Marine’s automated, self-contained rapid response ocean current monitoring system.

24 hours from approval, FAST Eddy^℠ will be installed and heading offshore to monitor your site. Once on site, FAST Eddy^℠ operates continuously—collecting, processing, and transmitting the current data via satellite modem to our Data Assembly Center 24/7.

Current profiles and transect cross sections are graphed and made available via a password- protected website in near real time. This allows for continuous fine-scale current monitoring during critical operations.
